Country Market LogoWroughton Country Market ~ Become a Producer!
Our producers are the gems of the market and we always welcome new producers. We believe it s good for the individual producer to be able to sell locally and, of course, your items and your help will be an asset to us! If you enjoy baking, gardening or have a skilled craft and are over 16, why not think about selling some of your produce at your local market?

Come along on a Friday morning and talk with the Market controller who will put you in touch with the person responsible for the section you are interested in producing for.

There are a few "common sense" rules which ensure the quality and safety of the market:

  • All goods must be genuinely home-produced and baked goods must be fresh - never frozen. Crafts must meet minimum standards and must have a high percentage of craft work, rather than be component based.
  • All Country Markets are run co-operatively and no-one has their own table.
  • Everyone is expected to take their turn manning the stalls and helping to run the market when possible, though you are not expected to help every week - unless you want to, of course!
  • There are no minimum quantities to produce but we are unable to accommodate very large quantities at present.
  • Those producing baked goods must, by law, attend a basic food hygiene course with successive refresher courses.
Our market, though run efficiently with high standards, is a very warm, welcoming and friendly place and we love to meet new producers! We consider our producers to be our assets and will support, help and guide you so that you can get the best from your sales. The more of yourself you put into your local community market, then the more you will gain!
